Upload full HD images directly to YouTube
Toshiba’s new range of Camileos offer the ability to capture footage in Full HD resolution, ensuring that treasured moments and special events are captured with sharp clarity. Each new model also features a simple YouTube upload functionality, enabling users to post their footage online via a YouTube hotkey.
The new Camileo series shoots high quality video in almost all lighting conditions, thanks to an optimised night mode that captures high levels of detail, even in low light. All models also double up as high quality digital still cameras, delivering excellent quality snapshots at resolutions of 5MP (Camileo S20) and 10MP (Camileo H30 and Camileo X100).
The images shot on the Camileo S20, Camileo H30 and Camileo X100 can be viewed instantly on rotating LCD displays. An intuitive touch-screen user interface, which is available on the Camileo H30 and Camileo X100 models, make it easy for users to navigate menus, while the Camileo S20’s hard-key menu also makes it easy to capture, view and transfer images to a selection of platforms. Integrated HDMI inputs across the range offer instant connectivity to HD ready TVs and laptops; with USB 2.0 and Composite Video (PAL and NTSC) increasing the number of ways consumers can connect Camileo models to compatible devices. A 30 day trial of 15 Magix’s Video deluxe suite is also bundled in-box, allowing users to have a go at turning footage into creative clips.
Toshiba’s new Camileo line-up consists of the following three models*:
Camileo S20 – super-slim high definition performance
Only 17 mm thick, the Camileo S20 is one of the slimmest full HD camcorders available. Featuring a 5MP CMOS sensor, the S20 is capable of shooting 1920×1080p high definition images and features 4x digital zoom. With its ultra slim form factor, stylish design and a rotating 3” display, the Camileo S20 is the ultimate camcorder for style conscious consumers and first time users looking for high quality HD images at an affordable price.
Camileo H30 – robust, all day HD performance
The Camileo H30 combines excellent functionality with supreme ease of use. A 10MP CMOS sensor captures images at Full HD resolution, with 5x optical and 4x digital zoom available to let users get closer to distant subjects. A slick menu system offers easy navigation of shooting modes and features, while a 3” LCD TFT touch-screen allows users to view captured video. Video stabilisation ensures that the quality of all clips and images is maintained when using the 10x zoom, and direct YouTube upload functionality makes it easy for users to share footage online.
Camileo X100 – super-zoom HD power
Sitting at the top of the Camileo HD camcorder series is the Camileo X100. Featuring a highly stylish black or silver design, the Camileo X100 combines a 10MP CMOS sensor with a powerful 10x optical zoom lens to deliver images at 1920×1080p Full HD resolution at 30fps. A further 10x digital zoom expands the zoom up to 100x overall, making the X100 perfect for shooting subjects that are beyond the reach of most camcorders. 1080i footage can be captured at a frame rate of 60fps, but the option to shoot WQVA footage (424×240) at 240fps also exists – creating content which can be posted to YouTube using the direct upload function.
